What touring tech topics would interest you looths?

Hello all, new member here. I've been working as a touring tech for 20 years and just noticed this section of the forum was empty, so I figured I'd give it a kick. Are there any topics\questions\ideas\etc that people would be interested in hearing about or discussing from a touring perspective? If so, drop a comment here and I'll see if I can address it or post any relevant photos\content. I'm leaving Wednesday for a month in Europe fol…

Tool catalog fetish group??

I'm always looking for tools that I might need and probably use once (if at all), but will definitely buy them...I need a support group for this habit... Found this the other day and thought I'd share... tons of Graphite, Nomex, fiberglass, specialty hand tools that could be at home in a Geetar shop... I bought the print catalog...but download pdf link here... https://www.aircraftspruce.com/pdf/2025Individual/Cat25.pdf

Brown's Guitar Factory bridge plate tool modification

Have you ever had a really stubborn bridge plate to remove? I had one not too long ago that seemed to resist wetting with a damp cloth, and subsequently all the heat I could get from my silicone heating pads. After much effort I got about 80% of it out cleanly. The remaining 20% required hours of work with a finger plane. That experience made me think about the Brown's Guitar Factory bridge plate removal tool I had purchased years ago,…

This is great. Thanks for sharing! The thermocouple link takes me to the thermocouple outlets? Might be a caching issue for me? Joe
