Bench Guitar Side Stand

I have a small shop space so pretty much everything happens on one work bench. There are situations when I turn a guitar on its side - always telling myself its ok because its just for a minute. Needless to say, there have been a couple of near disasters when a guitar almost tipped over.
There are good ways of securing a guitar that is on it's side. One is the StewMac Guitar Vise which I have, but I don't have mounted all the time because the bench top real estate is precious. Ok, I'm a little bit lazy too. Another is Ian Dalvin's Gridfinity Neck Rest loothgroup.com which is definitely worth a look if you haven't seen it.
I made the Bench Guitar Side Stand to have an additional option for securing a guitar on it's side. The tilt-able arms make it adjustable for various size acoustic guitars as well as electrics. If you only want to use the stand for acoustic guitars, you can simplify the printing and print two fixed arms and two tilt-able arms instead of printing four of the tilt-able arms.
The tilt-able arms have one with a right hand thread, and one with a left hand thread. The arms are labeled on the bottom with thread direction. The arm locking screws are embossed with a corresponding "R" and "L".
I printed the locking screws with PETG using 50% infill. The rest of the parts were printed with PLA using 15% infill.
I padded the surfaces that will touch the guitar surface using 3/32" cork, as well as the feet. Cork padding on the feet is important to keep the stand in place when holding electrics because they are top heavy. The cork pads were stuck on the arm tips with gel CA glue, and on the feet I used double stick tape.
I included the Fusion 360 source code because there are some parameters you may want to modify. The "armclearance" parameter is set for the tilt-able arms to "print in place" and should work for most printers. The "barclearance" parameter controls the slip fit of the connecting bars. There are parameters to adjust the overall dimensions if your slicer complains about fitting within the bounds of the print bed.
